I'm sorry but I really have to show you these.
When I went to Supanova they had a make-up effects team and for five dollars they vertically slit my wrist. It looked so real that it scared a few people and others were deeply concerned about my sanity. Honestly, if I were hurt that bad I don't think I'd be walking around happily showing off my wound - would you?

I was eager to see Rachelle Lefevre this year at Supanova. I think that every time I see an actor from a tv show or movie I half expect them to be the character they play. Alas, Rachelle was to sweet and courteous.

Chocolates. I love that first bite. Then after a few you just feel sick.
My sister and I went on the hunt to look for Bon Bon Fine Chocolates, a small shop located in the city. They sell some of the most beautiful chocolates I've ever seen. The truffles are amazing! They are a bit costly so I reckon you should buy them for special occasions.

I bought the Beatrice Letters book for my sister for christmas a few years ago when she was obsessed with Lemony Snicket. I'm amazed at how it still looks brand new. I love the book because it has the look and feel of a vintage journal.

I will love you as the manatee loves the head of lettuce and as the dark spot loves the leopard, as the leech loves the ankle of a wader and as a corpse loves the beak of the vulture.

-Lemony Snicket

I wish I could say that I drew the following pieces of art but unfortunately I was never blessed with such a skill.

There was a Pixar Animation Exhibition a few years ago while I was down in Melbourne. When I saw this, I fell in love. Probably not with this particular scene, but you get the point.

Whether you love Twilight or hate it, you can't deny that you've probably snuck a peek at it in bookstores or libraries. If you did have the strong will not to have laid a finger on any of the novels then I congratulate you. You have more of stronger will then I do.

My little sister is having a Halloween Disco and I'm making her costume. I thought about making her a mermaid outfit, so I started to experiment with make-up and see what effects I'd get if I added sequins to my eyelids. I wanted to produce a scaly effect. I think it turned out alright.

I used moisturising cream to make it stick to my eyelids but they keep falling off. So I'm scrapping the mermaid idea.

I went to the Powerhouse Museum and they had A Fashion Through the Ages exhibit. There were a lot of beautiful gowns with intricate deatail to patterns; and it made me wish that we could still dress like that. I imagine a world of Jane Austen with the extravagance of Marie Antoinette. Top hats and tailcoats. Lace gloves and silk. Minus the poverty, prejudice and harsh racism I'm pretty sure things would eventually work out.
I've been seduced by the thought of being swept up in a whirlwind romance with a byronic hero, where there's complex emotions, stubborness and sexual tension. Yes, I'm willing to go through the pain of crinoline, corsets and petticoats.

A big thankyou to all the real creative people out there who taught me how to rewind, play and fastforward Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. I'd still be staring at a blank canvas if it weren't for your share in brilliance. Thankyou.
